The famous well known Circus Roncalli paid Bonn a visit last month. What a great opportunity to grab the camera bag and the tripod and walk just a 200m from my place to shoot pictures you don't get to see everyday.

Engadin House in Scuol, Switzerland

After several years of absence, I returned to my family's favourite winter vacation spot: Scuol in the beautiful Engadin. On a walk through the old part of the town I came across this beautiful Engadin house, which is one of the oldest there.

Nine Eleven

This shot dates back to 2006, when I was on a business trip to Chicago and arrived deep down in Union Station, just on platform 9-11. I aimed at releasing this photo ever since on each Sept 11 but frankly forgot about it every year. So, since this year was no exception to this rule, I am happy that I remembered it today. And the difference in German and American date format allows me to publish this piece of work today too. November 9 has got quite some history over here as well...

Took a nice walk at the Ahr valley, a beautiful area full of vineyards. Check out the "Rotweinwanderweg" between Mayschoss and Altenahr, if you get the chance.

The first season of my balcony gardening brought out this wonderful hibiscus - among others.

Release me from this caging light

This one's taken at the old coalmine Le Hasard Cheratte in Belgium. I googled the line "Release me from this caging light" but all the search returned was someone's profile page which did not provide any additional information. Do you know this line's origin or deeper meaning?

Got a bit infected with the urbex-virus apparently. So I went to visit the abandoned factory site of the Deutsche Norton in Wesseling. The weather was great as you can see and the site is pretty impressive.
